Connections – reaching your full potential
This programme is dedicated to supporting young adults with Autism in their journey to college, careers, and beyond. Connections uniquely blend self-discovery, digital skills, work placement, environmental awareness and personalised guidance to nurture a person’s growth and development.

Students are supported in sourcing their first work placement. Connections focuses on two key factors for success in career development. The first is classroom activities where students receive career guidance and support including selecting a realistic career, job search strategies, applications and resumes, and interviewing aspects. The second is through experiential learning on a work placement. The work placement will provide opportunity to build and practice identified skills while gaining confidence to enhance career potential.

Possible placements with local employers may include, but are not limited to: Animal Care, Clerical, Child Care, Health Care, Hospitality, Landscaping, Outdoor Work, Marketing/Retail and Technology.
