This practical one-year business accounting course is designed to provide an excellent foundation for learners wishing to progress to Level 7/8 Business Degree Programmes at Third Level. This course will allow the learner to build skills in accounting, bookkeeping, marketing, communications and information technology. This course also provide learners with the core business skills required to enter the workplace.

Entry Requirements

QQI Level 4, minimum of 17 years of age at time of registration, Leaving Certificate/Leaving Certificate Applied, Equivalent qualifications from other countries, relevant life experiences, relevant work experiences and mature students.

Progression
By completing a PLC/FE course, students can achieve up to 390 CAO points and gain access to 3rd Level courses in universities and institutes of technology nationwideby applying through the CAO system, http://www.cao.ie/index.php?page=fetac_search

Work Experience
Work experience takes place one day per week throughout the academic year in areas of accounting, marketing, customer service and web design.

Many of our students get the opportunity to complete their work experience abroad, under the Erasmus programme, in countries such as Spain, Portugal, Malta and Belgium.
