Entry Requirements

Education: NFQ Level 4 or equivalent when accessing a Level 5 programme. CERFL proficiency at B2 for access to Level 5 courses for those whose first language is not English Mature learner entry requirements available via the local ETB pathway Additional requirements may apply to non-EU/EEA Applicants and may be subject to full international fees (Please refer to Information for International Learners) *Each provider may have additional requirements, not outlined above.

Aptitude: Applicants must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course.

Previous Experience: Applicants must be able to demonstrate a moderate range of knowledge, skills and competencies relevant to the course, be able to work with responsibility and demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative.

Skills to Advance has opportunities for everyone to upskill or reskill, particularly if you are:

* Currently working in a lower-skilled job
* Aged 50+
* Currently working in a job that is experiencing significant change

Careers / Further progression

The successful completion of this programme will enable applicants to find employment in an office operating under general direction and supervision, a manual and computerised bookkeeping system to include set up, processing, maintenance and security of system.

Are looking to move into the area of accountancy? This course is suitable for anyone new to bookkeeping. You will learn how to operate and maintain accurate bookkeeping records using manual and computerised Sage software, for an organisation, working under general direction and supervision.

After successful completion, you will achieve a QQI Level 5 Component certificate.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
Learners will have acquired the knowledge skills and competencies in the theory and practice in this area.
