What are the employment opportunities?
Accounting Technicians enjoy excellent employment and career prospects.

This skillset is in demand across large and small companies in all sectors of the economy to perform a variety of financial roles from financial accounting to budgeting, costing, credit control, payroll and tax returns. Graduates of this course are well positioned to seek employment in a variety of accounts jobs, particularly in jobs that require multi-skilled, flexible and adaptable personnel.

The Accounting Technician Course is for employment and as such some relevant work experience will be required. This occurs after the exams are over usually the end of May or early June. The duration of the work experience can vary (subject to exam dates), ideally three to four weeks. This enables the learner to gain some practical experience based on what they have studied in class. It is advisable to have this obtained before course starts.

Relevant work experience could be in an accounting practice, an accounts department of a business be it in the retail, hospitality, industry or other organisations.
