Italian is the language of culture. Some of the most important artists, painters and writers were born in Italy. Italian also means “Made in Italy” and everybody loves Italian food, fashion, cars and design. It is the fifth most taught foreign language in the world and speaking Italian is an opportunity to grow your culture, progress in your profession and develop your interpersonal relationships. The objective of the course is to further advance students in the study of Italian language and culture. Students will further develop the 4 languages skills:
- Speaking
- Listening
- Reading
- Writing
Continuation course from Spring 2021. This course is aimed at Level B 2.2 Intermediate but will also revise areas in level B1. The course is based on the communicative approach and the main goal is to promote interaction through Italian. Students will learn Italian in a natural way and in a real life context. New and Return students welcome.
About the Tutor: Ms. Eleonora Gelmi
Eleonora is a certified foreign language teacher, with experience teaching secondary school and adults. She has been studying languages for 20 years, and is currently learning German. She appreciates having an environment where everyone can have fun while discovering a different culture, and learn new words and grammar with examples you can remember – did you know that in Italian when wishing someone good luck, they say “to be in the wolf’s mouth”? With a sentence like that you can learn and remember a few grammar rules, words and pronunciation and you won’t be shocked when you hear someone replying “May the wolf die!”
