This course is aimed at people who have little or no experience or knowledge of computers but who wish to learn more about how to effectively use and maintain their computer at home or at work. It is ideal for any person who may need to use a computer for typing or for sending or receiving emails with pictures and attachments. You will also learn how to safely use the internet for purchasing products etc. You will acquire the required skills and knowledge to design and use presentations and spreadsheets. Finally computer security and privacy along with the identification and prevention of computer scams will also be covered.

Computer basics
Introduction to word processing/MS Word
How to cut, copy and paste
Overview of how to use various internet browsers and search engines
Introduction to spreadsheets using MS Excel
Introduction to presentations using MS PowerPoint
How to participate in online meetings using Zoom and MS Teams
Setting up an email account
How to identify reputable websites and businesses
Creating a social media account
Security and privacy around social media
Data Protection, your right to privacy
