Within this course, the participant will get a chance to explore 3 areas of textile art with a very creative and artistic approach. The areas in which will be covered will be Felt making, hand embroidery, and silk painting. (the participant will be required to purchase some materials to add to each area)
Week 1 – 2 Feltmaking:
1. An introduction through a demonstration. Learn the ancient textile technique of felt making. Try the process for the first time.
2. Make your own felt art piece.
Week 3 - 6 Hand embroidery:
3. Learn some embroidery stitches and practice a small piece.
4. Create your own embroidery design and start to use the embroidery stitches on it.
5. Continue your embroidery piece or add some embroidery to your piece of felt.
6. Continue your hand embroidery piece.
