Minimum Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate: O6/H7 in 5 subjects including an O5/H7 in English or Leaving Certificate Applied or QQI Level. 4 Equivalent qualifications will be considered.

Mature applicants who have relevant industry experience and may not meet the above requirements are welcome to apply. Applicants will be asked to produce examples of their written work at interview including; examples of story writing, scripts journalism and/or essays.

About The Course
This one year course provides an extensive introduction to a wide range creative writing, media, literature, and culture.

Participants will produce writing for fiction, scripts for theatre, television, radio, film, and journalism. Students will be introduced to a wide range of literature appropriate to all modules on offer, and there are numerous opportunities to attend theatre productions, films, media events, and other cultural events throughout the year.

On completion, each student will have an exciting portfolio, a selection of which will be professionally published in the end of year publication.
