Adult Basic Education
Our Adult Basic Education Service provides free tuition for all adults who wish to improve their skills in reading, writing, spelling, numeracy and computers. We also offer English for Speakers of other Languages (ESOL) as well as Family Learning Programmes and Skills for Work and Employability courses.

Language, literacy and numeracy skills are essential to all areas of learning.
Our Adult Basic Education Service provides free tuition for all adults who wish to improve their skills in reading, writing, spelling, numeracy and computers. We also offer English for Speakers of other Languages (ESOL) as well as Family Learning Programmes and Skills for Work and Employability courses.
We enable every learner to fully participate in educational and training opportunities available to them. We ensure that literacy and numeracy interventions and supports are available to meet the needs of all learners who participate in various programme strands within Further Education and Training.
Our courses are designed around the needs of each learner in a friendly, supportive and confidential manner.
Courses can be accredited or non-accredited. Our accredited courses are offered at National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Levels 1 to 3.
Courses are offered to small groups or on a one-to-one basis. All our courses are part-time and offered throughout the year in both Galway and Roscommon.
