Overview
This introductory course prepares students with little or no experience for a third level course in animation production. This course, taught by industry professionals, blends the practical and the creative. With a dual focus on drawing and computer skills, the course will cover all the fundamental areas required for a successful portfolio submission.

One of the main aims of the course is to prepare a comprehensive portfolio that will help students in progressing to higher education.

Students will learn to visually develop and communicate their ideas through life drawing, storyboarding, character design, background design and planning. This course teaches students the principles of animation (movement, timing, weight etc.) using After Effects and Flash - the industry standard computer software.
