Course Description:
Taught by a Personal Health and Nutrition Adviser, this healthy eating and lifestyle programme is designed to improve your health and wellbeing by employing effective strategies for personal change to create sustainable future healthy eating habits, exercises and mindfulness for health. This healthy eating and lifestyle programme improves the health and wellbeing of individuals. In addition, offers strategies for personal change and work towards a sustainable healthy future eating habits.

Taught by a Personal Health and Wellness adviser. Liz is an experienced health adviser and a scientist, she has more than fifteen years of diverse experience in the field of health/wellness and has been teaching in other CDETB colleges. Liz holds a Bachelor of food science, nutrition, and health such as exercises and mindfulness, yoga, and other practices tutor.

Course Content:
1. Introduction/Digestion, Absorption, Metabolism and gastrointestinal dysfunction. The importance of gut functions in the overall health of the body and mind.

2. Basic of Nutrition (Proteins, Carbohydrates, Good Fats, Micronutrients Vitamins, Minerals and Antioxidants)

3. Naturopathic Nutrition (How to use different foods, spices super-foods to support the immune system and detoxification of the body)

4. Understanding weight loss and fad diets. Obesity, diabetes and eating disorders. BMI calculator tool

5. Food diaries. Ho to make personalized day meal plans and Nutrition for weight loss

6. Behavioural changes and SMART Goals. The motivation to make it happen – Taking action. Coaching skills and goal setting are a recipe for success

7. Health eating guidelines - and understanding food labelling

8. Nutrition Counselling approach to weight loss and obesity management.

9. Body composition and dietary analysis. Personalized meal planning for different needs

10. Mindfulness for weight management and mindfulness for health

11. The physical and mental benefits of exercise. Physical activity guidelines. Prevent injuries during exercises by doing properly each exercise

12. Managing weight loss. The secret of weight loss and strengthening the core. Discover the antagonists to healthy living (toxins, anti-nutrients and stress).

13. How to manage stress, and improve your sleeping patterns.
